Good quality undamaged saucepans, frying pans, mugs, tumblers, cutlery, plates and bowls.
Sometimes we have to buy additional items when we haven't got enough donations to meet the level of need.

£18 buys a double duvet and 2 pillows
£200 pays for our Support Centre to open for a day so that we can be there for vulnerable people in crisis.

Extracts from our Newsletter
Jan to Mar 2017
In 2016: 4,734 families / individuals were helped through our support centres:
That is: 90 individuals / families per week or 2.5 families / individuals every hour we are open.
We delivered 1,981 items of furniture – many were emergency responses where people did not have a bed to sleep in.
We assisted 3 Syrian refugee families to start new lives in Reading by helping to furnish their homes.
We provided 1,528 free hot meals to people who would otherwise not have one on a Wednesday.
Reading Borough Council are no longer providing financial crisis support so the destitute and desperate are coming to us to ask for the basic items that we take for granted – a bed to sleep in, a hot meal, an oven, a washing machine.
Could you make this choice?
Pay for electricity or buy ingredients for a basic meal? But not both?
Your donation will provide a lifeline of support to those who come to us seeking practical assistance and a listening friend.
