Many of our people are volunteers, but click here for paid opportunities.
Whether young or old, in or out of work, you could help serve the people of this town
through CCA in many practical ways.
We need people to help serve in the shops, to sort stock for sale or
disposal, to train as assessors in the Support Centres – only a few
hours every week can make all the difference.
Able-bodied people are needed to go out on the vans to collect and
deliver furniture as well as van drivers and discerning people to
answer the Furniture Donation Telephone
Special skills in IT, PR and HR are always in demand – can you offer any help?
Please note that many of our volunteers are working with people who
are coping in difficult circumstances. Hence we ask that our
drivers, their mates and those who staff our support centres undertake
a CRB check (commonly referred to as a police check). The CRB are very
busy processing these checks and hence, for these positions, we regret
that there may be a short period of time between your offer of help and
when we are able to take that offer up.
We also require that our drivers have a clean UK driving licence.
