Shop Supervisor Vacancies at Christian Community Action We are currently recruiting Supervisors for our shops in Whitley (permanent, 32 hours/week) and Southcote (temporary, 11 hours/week).  Pay £7.02/hour.

We have teamed up with Money4Computers, who will recycle your old computers and give us 90% of the money they get for them. Please bring them to Silver Street. Personal data will of course be destroyed. Sorry we cannot accept monitors, speakers or external drives....

  It is Business as usual at Oxford Road  - posted 26 July 2011

Christian Community Action Oxford Road is open as usual. The premises we use as our shop and support centre on Oxford Road are for sale, but we are continuing to operate as normal. We may have a different landlord in the future, but our shop and support centre will not be affected by this. We continue to welcome customers, and will gladly accept any donations of clothing, books or bric a brac you may want to pass on. Thank you for your continued support as we serve our local community.

  Furniture Outlet now open Saturdays  - posted 9 Jan 2011

Our shop in Silver Street will now be open each Saturday from 10am till 1pm. This is in addition to our regular weekday hours of 10am till 4pm. We have a terrific range of furniture for anyone to buy. Take a look now on the shop's re-vamped web site www.ccafurnitureoutlet.org.uk



Harvest Gifts - posted 10 Oct 2010

A big thank you from the Oxford Road Support Centre... for the donations of food that we have received, especially the Harvest Festival donations.  This means that we have sufficient food at the moment but we do need shampoos, shower gels, toothpaste and toothbrushes for both men and women.

We are happy to announce that David Cox has been appointed Senior Assessor  in the Oxford Road Support Centre where he has been volunteering for the last 9 months.

We welcome Jon who is a new supervisor for our furniture outlet in Silver Street. We have also had some staff changes at our Oxford Road site - congratulations to Peter and Christine who are the new shop supervisors there. We thank and praise God for leading such good people to us. We are still looking for suitable people to come forward as volunteers for all our sites.
