CCA collects good quality second hand furniture that is no longer required. We then redistribute the furniture to those in need via our Support Centres. Items surplus to the requirements of our distribution scheme are sold through our charity shops.

We also welcome gifts of clothing, bedding, books, toys, household goods and other items from members of the public which are then sold at nominal prices.

At our Support Centres

The Support Centres are places for people in need. If you find yourself without basic needs for the home, such as furniture and household goods, we will do our best to fulfil your requirements. Or, you may just want someone to talk with or be listened to.

We make a nominal charge for providing furniture. However, the person in need will always be our first priority. We operate a 'blind buying' system which means that clients are given the best items available in stock but are unable to view the furniture at the time of purchase.

To help us target our resources effectively, we do need some proof that the person concerned is receiving benefit or is on a low income (e.g. letter of referral from a recognised community agency, church or other relevant body).
